There was a time in the early '80s when it appeared that a middle-aged Dabney Coleman was poised to take over the entertainment world - "9 to 5" (1980), "On Golden Pond" ('81), "Tootsie" ('82), and "Wargames" ('83), one huge hit right after another. Then his TV show "Buffalo Bill" never really took off, and then he kind of slowly disappeared from view, making appearances in things like the "Dragnet" movie, Bobcat Goldthwait's talking horse vehicle "Hot to Trot," and "The Beverly Hillbillies" film adaptation.
